Home and IEP Consultation

Parents looking for support in their home can receive direct consultation regarding IEP goal and objective development. Dr. Gentry can also provide consultation regarding problematic behavior, communication, feeding, social skills, toileting, and sleeping issues they might be dealing with at home or in the community, that might be affecting their educational progress.  

Dr. Gentry has years of experience collaborating with parents to come up with meaningful and effective positive interventions at home for any number of difficult situations or problems.

School Consultation

Gentry PBS is also available to provide the same positive behavioral consultation to teachers, classrooms, schools and entire districts. Services including consultation regarding behavior management, picture communication, functional communication and Applied Behavior Analysis (Discrete Trial Training, Pivotal Response Teaching, and Functional Behavior Assessments) can all be delivered in the school setting.

Training

Dr. Gentry has been providing in-service training and workshops for school personnel, professionals and parents for a number of years.  His presentations and workshops include topics including Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), Positive Behavior Support (PBS), supporting    students with Autism Spectrum Disorders and other developmental disorders, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder, ADHD support and management, as well as Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBA) and the use of Pivotal Response    Teaching (PRT) to increase functional language and communication.
