EDUCATIONAL PARENT CONSULTATION
The Individualized Education Plan (IEP) process is one that requires a lot of patience and assessment to be successful. Dr. Gentry has years of experience consulting to IEP teams to help assess the child and then use these assessment results to write appropriate, measurable and attainable goals and objectives.
PARENT CONSULTATION
All children have difficulties transitioning from one developmental stage to another to some degree. Some children just have more difficulty than others. Whether it be learning to use the toilet, sleeping in their own bed, keeping their hands to themselves, eating a wide range of foods or making and keeping friends, Dr. Gentry can help coach parents through these difficult times.
Consultation is available to parents, grandparents, habilitators, caretakers and even siblings. Gentry PBS utilizes a positive behavioral approach to teach children appropriate ways to learn new skills without the use of punishment.
