Taryn is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst. She received her bachelor’s degree in Justice Studies with a minor in Human and Family Development from Arizona State University. After graduating, she worked in the non-profit sector of Behavioral Health as a Behavior Coach, where she found her passion for working with children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD). Taryn then decided to return to school at Arizona State for her Master’s in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).
Over the last 7 years, Taryn has been a behavior therapist, program manager, and an assistant director. She received her credentials as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) in November 2016, and then received her license in May 2017. Taryn’s time as a clinician provided her with the opportunity to work one-on-one with children in-home, schools and clinic based, conduct parent education sessions, complete functional behavior assessments, and create and run social skills groups.
Additionally, Taryn has received extensive training and experience implementing home and school programs, based on the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis. These include teaching Verbal Behavior, Natural Environment Training (NET), Discrete Trail Training (DTT), Pivotal Response Treatment (PRT), and Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs).firstname.lastname@example.org
