Reading Intervention Evaluations

Review of any and/or all prior related evaluations will be completed prior to the assessment. During the first session, the Wilson Assessment of Decoding and Encoding (WADE) is administered to guide instruction and mastery related to the sequence of the program. The WADE assesses an individual's ability to read targeted high frequency words, real words, and nonsense words as well as the ability to spell targeted high frequency words, real words, and nonsense words. The assessment typically takes about one hour to complete. Results are subsequently reviewed with families in combination with a plan of care.
